Even though we may turn from the Lord at times, he never turns from us. However, Jesus offers himself to them as someone who can satisfy not just their material hunger, but the deep, spiritual, hunger within them. The Lord is always calling on us to grow in our relationship with him, to deepen our relationship with him. If the group is comfortable with silence, more time could be spent resting in the Word.
